Having completed my pathology residency on the east coast and being a native of the metro Detroit area, it feels great to be back in the Midwest. This is my first time living in Milwaukee and so far it’s been fantastic. There’s never a shortage of things to do in the city no matter what your interests; there’s an abundance of live music, great food, and outdoor activities.
The GI and liver pathology material at MCW is outstanding, with a steady volume of both classic and more challenging cases seen in consultation and in house. We see complex Whipple resections and native and transplant liver biopsies on a daily basis. There are plenty of multidisciplinary conferences to attend related to GI and Liver pathology in addition to general surgical pathology. Feel free to email me if you have any questions about the fellowship or living in downtown Milwaukee.
